The project management system of the Lear company
The international company Lear produces parts for automobiles. In particular, the branch in the Russian Federation makes wiring for some Ford models. In 2016, the company asked us develop specific software designed for project management.
The top level element is the Project. Inside the project, Tasks are created. Each task has subtasks. Thus, three nesting levels are used: Project, Task, Subtask. At all levels, the responsible employee, completion date and current status are assigned.
The list of projects is as follows:
If you click on the project, you can see the list of tasks in it. You can immediately deploy the task and see its subtasks:
Entering the task, the user can edit it:
Or he can view subtasks:
Each user has a button "My tasks", using which he can view the tasks/subtasks assigned to him:
An important feature of the system is the ability to configure templates. The template defines the list of fields that is used in a particular project, task or subtask. For example, you can create a template for the "Purchase of goods" tasks and specify the fields: list of potential suppliers, maximum budget, etc.
Then, when the user creates a task using this template, he will need to fill exactly these fields.
The list of templates is as follows:
Editing the template reduces to specifying the list of fields in it:
For each field, you should specify the type of data that will be stored in it:
The system uses the user authorization system. The list is edited in the corresponding section:
In this case, users do not need to enter their username and password, as the current data of the Active Directory are used.
Each user is assigned to a department in which he works. The list of departments is edited in the standard way:
In addition, the system supports the export of data to Excel for further reporting.
